This suggested that the Fenton reactions caused rapid depolymerization on the surface, but the cellulose structure was not exposed. After B-8 pretreatment, the mesh portion on the surface of the RS became smooth. The hemicellulose and lignin were partially removed, leaving a loose lamellar structure. The raised portion of the surface mesh formed by the Fenton reaction might became the landing point of B-8. Thus, B-8 further modified the RS surface.
