How to Use the Qmatic KT 2595 with Display – A User’s Guide

The Qmatic KT 2595 is a 33-button terminal that allows you to manage your service points efficiently and conveniently. It has a display that shows the current visit number, the time, and other information. In this article, you will learn how to use the Qmatic KT 2595 with display, how to set up and configure it, and how to troubleshoot some common issues.

Using the Qmatic KT 2595 with Display

The Qmatic KT 2595 with display has five main buttons: P1, P2, P3, P4, and P5. These buttons can be assigned to different work profiles, depending on your preferences and needs. A work profile is a set of services that you can offer at your service point. For example, you can have a work profile for cash transactions, another one for account inquiries, and another one for customer service.

To use the Qmatic KT 2595 with display, you need to do the following steps:

  1. Select a work profile by pressing one of the P buttons. The display will show the name of the work profile and the services available.
  2. Call the next visit by pressing the green button. The display will show the visit number and the service name.
  3. Serve the visit according to your procedures. The display will show the elapsed time and the service name.
  4. End the visit by pressing the red button. The display will show the visit number and a thank you message.
  5. Repeat steps 2 to 4 for each visit.

You can also use other buttons on the Qmatic KT 2595 with display for different functions, such as:

  • The yellow button: To store the next visit in a queue. This is useful if you need to prepare something before serving the next visit.
  • The blue button: To recall the last visit that you ended. This is useful if you need to correct something or provide additional service.
  • The white button: To transfer the current visit to another service point or queue. This is useful if you need to refer the visit to another colleague or department.
  • The black button: To pause or resume your service point. This is useful if you need to take a break or attend to something else.

Setting Up and Configuring the Qmatic KT 2595 with Display

To set up and configure the Qmatic KT 2595 with display, you need to access the global settings and the equipment profile level settings. The global settings are common for all units of the same type, while the equipment profile level settings are specific for each unit.

To access the global settings, you need to log in to the Orchestra Connect web interface as an administrator. Then, you need to go to Configuration > Service Points > Standard Unit Types > KT 2595 with Display > Global Settings. Here, you can change parameters such as:

  • Name: The name of the unit type.
  • Description: The description of the unit type.
  • Template name: The name of the unit type template.
  • Template version: The version of the unit type template.
  • Timeout between keystrokes: The maximum time between keystrokes before terminal goes back to default state (seconds).
  • LCD refresh time: The timeout between automatic refresh of information in the KT LCD (seconds). Set to 0 to not refresh at all.
  • 24 Hour clock: If this check box is checked, the time should be displayed with a 24 hour clock. If it is not checked, it should be displayed with a 12 hour clock.
  • Min time between call next: The time that must elapse between two call next on a Service Point for a specific user (seconds).

To access the equipment profile level settings, you need to log in to the Orchestra Connect web interface as an administrator. Then, you need to go to Configuration > Service Points > Equipment Profiles > Select an equipment profile > KT 2595 with Display > Equipment Profile Level Settings. Here, you can change parameters such as:

  • Name: The name of the unit.
  • Description: The description of the unit.
  • Type name: The name of the unit type.
  • Type description: The description of the unit type.
  • Unit id: The identification code of the unit.
  • Store next: Defines if store next is enabled or not.
  • LED show when calling: Selects what to show on the LED display when calling a visit.
  • LED Open text: The text on LED display when Service Point is open but not serving any visit. Leave empty if not used.
  • LED Open scroll direction: Selects the wanted scrolling direction for LED Open text.
  • LED Open scroll speed: Selects the wanted scroll speed for LED Open text.
  • LED Waiting text: The text on LED display when Service Point is waiting for a visit (in Store next mode). Leave empty if not used.
  • LED Waiting scroll direction: Selects the wanted scrolling direction for LED Waiting text.
  • LED Waiting scroll speed: Selects the wanted scroll speed for LED Waiting text.
  • LED Closed text: The text on LED display when Service Point is closed. Leave empty if not used.
  • LED Closed scroll direction: Selects the wanted scrolling direction for LED Closed text.
  • LED Closed scroll speed: Selects the wanted scroll speed for LED Closed text.
  • P1 behavior: Selects the behavior of button P1. Available choices are: User defined work profile, Locked to work profile 1, Locked to profile 2, Locked to profile 3, Locked to profile 4, or Locked to profile 5.
  • P2 behavior: Selects the behavior of button P2. Available choices are: User defined work profile, Locked to work profile 1, Locked to profile 2, Locked to profile 3, Locked to profile 4, or Locked to profile 5.
  • P3 behavior: Selects the behavior of button P3. Available choices are: User defined work profile, Locked to work profile 1, Locked to profile 2, Locked to profile 3, Locked to profile 4, or Locked to profile 5.
  • P4 behavior: Selects the behavior of button P4. Available choices are: User defined work profile, Locked to work profile 1, Locked to profile 2, Locked to profile 3, Locked to profile 4, or Locked to profile 5.
  • P5 behavior: Selects the behavior of button P5. Available choices are: User defined work profile, Locked to work profile 1, Locked to profile 2, Locked to profile 3, Locked to profile 4, or Locked to profile 5.
