There is no learning curve when it comes to Photoshop and it only takes a short amount of time to become acquainted with the program. The first thing you will want to do is open Photoshop. If you’re using a computer that has Windows you can open Photoshop by simply double clicking on the icon. If you are using a Mac computer you can open Photoshop by clicking on the icon in your dock. If you are using an iPad, you can download Photoshop by clicking on the app icon in your home screen.
Once you have opened Photoshop you will want to hold the Ctrl key on your keyboard and press A on your keyboard. This will bring up the File menu. On the File menu you will want to click on New.
Once you have opened the New file you will want to name it and click OK.
After naming your file you will want to click File and open up your Photo folder. You should now have a new folder named ‘Photo’. You will want to drag your image into the ‘Photo’ folder you just made.
Now you are going to want to click on File and open up your Presets folder. You will then want to Click New and name the preset ‘Featured Image.

In early 2020, Photoshop Elements 9 was released with a range of features including a curated set of high-quality photo editing presets called Thematic. The Thematic presets are created and curated by a team of experts and this course teaches how to create a preset of your own.
The Thematic presets are a ton of fun to play around with, but the path starts from scratch in this course from Lucia Zanatta. Third, the Elements 11 update added a few new features including embedded previews, an undo panel, and a workspace with shortcuts.
