I too have the same sentiments. My PC situation (OSX Mavericks, 2 SSDs) and my workflow (PSD review, editing, batch processing, delivery) works much better with LR than CS5. I hope we’ll hear from Adobe in the next CM review how things stand for CS5 users on the Mac side.
I think they are more than likely to add in the ability to filter “thumbs”. Currently they don’t because it’s a big pain. They don’t allow you to download a bunch of blank documents for example. Another example is to do any text editing on a document and if you save it as a copy, the original just doesn’t work and an original needs to be sent a copy.
I think it would be great if you could give more details about the “what’s new” and the new features in the first (perhaps the penultimate/final) review. In this one you look at the “what will be added” that aren’t in the preview release.
Sorry, I’m not qualified to tell you if this feature is in CS5 or CS6. And it seems to only affect PSD files. I validated a PSD file from CS4 once and it didn’t have this feature, just for reference.
