Observe the water jacket for any leaks or scuffing, scalding, or other visual issues. H. Inspect that all electrical duct work is installed correctly to the boiler and along any areas with flammable material or electrical components. I. Make sure that all flues and flue-tanks are unobstructed and receiving excellent air flow. J. Confirm that all ventilation air ducts or draught fans are mounted properly, their ducts and intake registers unobstructed and in proper operating condition.
K. Determine whether any obstructions are in any air duct. L. Ensure that the boiler has been operated in accordance with the boiler manual or manufacturer’s data sheet for the correct number of hours (allow for daily inspection time during startup/shut-down periods). M. Review that all labeled and labeled fire control devices (e.g. dampers, dampers, fans, etc.) are in the appropriate position. Notice the temperature at which they close or open when air flow is taken away from the boiler. N. Confirm that all relays, switches, contacts, and their sets are in proper operating condition and all operate in the expected manner (refer to the boiler or cathodic protection manual). O. Observe that all piping, hoses, cables, valves, and other fittings are in good condition and visible in the proper locations.
Q. Verify that all physical access points are free of debris, general scuffs, etc. R. Determine whether the ventilation system is functioning properly. O. Observe that the heating system is in ready operating condition.
