jungo windriver is a driver that enables you to use atmel usb devices. to build a jungo windriver project, you need to install atmel bsp and the atmel windriver. then, you must use the atmel windriver that you install to build a jungo windriver project.
using the jungo windriver bsp means that you can use the atmel bsp and the atmel windriver. the jungo windriver bsp comes pre-configured to work with the jungo windriver. the reason for this is that jungo windriver is a more complex driver than the atmel windriver.
if you don’t want to use the jungo windriver bsp, you can use the atmel windriver by itself. if you don’t use a bsp with the atmel windriver, it comes pre-configured to support many devices that atmel provides. with the atmel windriver, you configure the project to build the jungo windriver by following the guidelines in the driver-udmc-project.txt file, located in the jungo windriver 1021 x86 x64 folder.
the driver should have automatically installed on the sd card. if not, just copy your sd card to the desktop, right click on desktop, “new->folder” (or maybe the path is: “c:\users\public\desktop”), and name the folder “jungo”.
if it finishes successfully, it will show a green check mark. if the preview fails, the driver will probably give you a single diagnostic error message. try again to open up the driver and repeat the above steps.
i have also tried to search for the ‘dongle.inf’ file in my registry, assuming that this file might still contain the necessary tusbxxxxxx information and i can manually install it. but i can only find an ‘old dongle.inf’ and not a ‘new one’. this tells me that the default installer was updated to include the 1021 windriver. shouldn’t this installer include a file that corresponds to the newly installed windriver.
very strange. i took the windriver explorer from its cd and tried to open it. it refuses to let me. what about windriver explorer version 12.0? i had already tried it, but as noted above, it didn’t work. no problem; i’ll try windriver explorer version 11.5.0.0 and see what happens.
i open windriver explorer version 11.5.0. when i select the avr dragon device, i get an error: could not open, the system cannot find the specified path. hmmm. ok, i uninstalled jungo again. then, i opened windriver explorer again and found that this device had been added. ok. i tried to load the driver, but it doesn’t work. i tried several of the windriver explorer versions and only the one that mentions that i had an older version (the oldest version?) is able to open the device. but i still get the same error.
back to the windows 10 device manager, i see the device listed as one of the devices associated with my asus rt-ac52u router. i click the driver tab. no device driver is listed there. i return to the windows 10 control panel and click the device manager. a new section now appears. there is no column for the avr dragon, but there is for the asus rt-ac52u router. well, that explains it. and it’s now time for another trip to to see if there’s a windriver explorer version that works with this device. let’s see..
you should be able to find the latest version for jungo windriver in the jungo windriver support section. it should be free. the file name should be jungo windriver.zip. this version of the driver should work with iqan v20. once you’ve got it, unzip the file and install the driver as normal (always check read me!).
