In order to analyze a primer configuration you only need to enter the code in the right side panel. By clicking the Properties button the user can view the melting temperatures, molecular weight and general description in the main window.
The user has the possibility to add a large number of primers in order to generate a similar report for all entries. The Pair feature enables you to view two primers in the same window and determine the optimal melting temperature.
When you are dealing with large lists of primers it is recommended to store the details in a project file that you can open at a later date. You can also add notes about the results in order to easily know the ones that are suitable for multiplex PCR applications.
In our tests, the program calculated the properties for multiple primers and compared them without requiring significant resources. The Options panel enables you to adjust the tail length and the salt concentration level used for the calculations.
If you need to compare primers and primer pairs, the Oligo Analyzer provides you with a simple interface and quick results.

It always returns rows that have a value of ‘x’. I need it to return rows that have a value of ‘x’ and type of ‘a’. Any help would be much appreciated!

UPDATE: The issue with your syntax was that value!=” will always return false. You need to use value IS NOT NULL instead of value!=” The reason is that = is a comparison operator, while! is a boolean operator.
You also want to compare the field variable to column because fields are case sensitive. So your query would look like this:
SELECT * FROM table WHERE field=’x’ AND type=’a’ AND value IS NOT NULL
