Photoshop Elements is a free photo editing program with many of the same tools found in Photoshop. Adobe Photoshop Elements includes all of Photoshop’s features and tools for image editing. The major difference between Adobe Photoshop Elements and Photoshop is that Photoshop Elements is designed with beginners in mind. Some of the features in Photoshop Esements are not available in Photoshop, but they are available in other programs, such as Gimp. Adobe Photoshop Elements is a free product offered by Adobe. I’m a little disappointed with the way they let you pick one of the apps from choice on the upgrade page. Creative Suite 3 is still the only choice. The rest should (if they ever fix this) be a lot higher on the list.
I really don’t think this version is ready for the public yet. Not enough work has been done on a real release as of yet. I think if we waited the next software release cycle, meaning next year for CS6, they would probably have a better release. This is really just a beta, there are still some big issues with it.
The update basically people who have a Creative Suite 6 account get up to date access to the latest creative cloud back and updates which will be relevant to your editing needs and will be updated in the Creative Suite 6 embeddable version. What Adobe is doing is its encouraging people already on Creative Suite 6 to migrate to Creative Cloud 2.
If you already have Creative Suite 6 it will be updated to cs5.6 and new project creation and cloud storage. I think they don’t think its ready for the public.
